Please read the parasite control discussions listed under dogs and cats as ferrets get the same types of external and internal parasites.  Ferret flea/tick/heartworm and intestinal parasite preventatives are the same ones we use in dogs and cats.  Remember to consult a veterinarian before applying any product to your ferret to make sure it is safe as some non-prescription products can be dangerous for ferrets.
